Bath time checklist
Gather all the essentials before you bath your baby. Double checking if you have everything in place before you start will avoid any last minute hurry. Definitely you wouldn't would want to run around the house looking for things with a wet, wrapped baby in hand, would you?
- Large towel, draped over your shoulder, to wrap the baby immediately after bath
- Small thinner towel or cloth to wipe dry small parts
- Mild soap, shampoo. It is useful to have a 'no-rinse required' soap and one that can double up as shampoo too.
- Cotton Wool
- Bath tub with non-slip surface or one coated with a non-slip bath mat.
- Infant bath seat is nice to have though it's not a necessity.
- Wash cloth/flannel
- Bowl of warm water, if you do not use a 'no-rinse' soap.
- Bath toys for a slightly older baby
- Cotton buds to clean umbilical stump, for newborn babies
